We’d love to book you, what are the next steps?
All that’s required in booking me is a signed agreement and retainer. Dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and most couples book me about 9 months in advance.
Contact me for details and we’ll get the ball rolling.
What’s it like to work with you?
I strive to make things easy for the couples I work with. Working with me (I hope!) is just like having a good friend by your side for the day, a friend who supports you and makes you laugh. A friend who helps you get over the jitters, and who just so happens to be lugging around 30 pounds of camera equipment and telling you to go stand in that pretty light over there.
How much time do you recommend for photos on the wedding day?
For most weddings, 30 minutes for the couple and 30 minutes for family/bridal should be Pleanty. I also usually ask for 5 minutes later in the evening to do a sunset or night time shot.
Can you recommend other vendors for our wedding day?
Yes, so much yes! I have tons of amazing wedding contacts and absolutely love singing their praises. Once we’ve booked your date, you’ll receive a welcome guide with loads of information on my favorite vendors, specialists and people. After all, we are the company we keep.
Do you travel for shoots?
Yes! I absolutely love to travel, and would love to go wherever your wedding will take me. Let’s chat!
How do you describe your style?
I’m not about stiff awkward poses. I’m about the genuine, quirky, sarcastic, teasing, loving, quiet, loud, fun, and unique love that you have. I believe that by giving couples space to be themselves, thats when the best images come. I wanna capture the real stuff for you. I wanna get the big moments, the in-betweens, the ones you don’t think anyone else is watching.
Do you shoot family photos on the wedding day?
YES! Family photos are one of the most important things on a wedding day and I always make sure to carve out time to capture them. I however am not the shot list kind of girl, I will send a questionnaire about two weeks before the wedding to gather a bit of information on whats important to you.
Should we do an engagement session?
I love engagement sessions. Not only are they a chance for us to collaborate and create something authentic, they’re a chance for you to connect before the wedding, to get comfortable with each other in front of me and my camera so that when the big day arrives, you are comfortable, relaxed, and completely in the moment.
Do we need a second shooter?
I recommend a second photographer if there will be more than 80 guests, if you aren’t seeing each other before the ceremony, or if there are many details to be photographed.
Who would that second shooter be?
I work with a few trusted photographers, and we shoot for each other all the time! I will pick someone based on their unique talents and personality who I think would be a good fit for each individual couple.
Do you have insurance?
Absolutely! Toni Skotcher Photography is insured through Hiscox. Let me know if your venue requires a certificate of insurance.
How many weddings do you shoot per year?
I limit myself to no more than 25 weddings per year. It is incredibly important to me to give all my clients my full attention, and to be fully dedicated to each and every wedding and keep things fresh and exciting for myself.
How many images do we get?
For an average 8-hour wedding, I usually deliver between 500-700 fully-edited images.
How and when will we receive our images?
You’ll receive your photos in an online gallery 8 weeks after the wedding. All of the high resolution edited images are yours to keep, download, print, and share.
Do you offer discounts?
I do offer one discount; if you are willing to have an unplugged ceremony and disallow your guests from photographing the ceremony. Please contact me for more details.
Can we order prints and albums?
Absolutely! You will be able to order directly from your gallery.
